1. How can I buy coins at Emporium Hamburg?

The easiest way is to order via our Online-Shop. Simply choose your desired coin and click “add to basket”. After having entered your data plus maybe some extra comments or questions regarding your ordering procedure, you will receive an email with our bank details. Once the transfer amount has been credited to our account, your ordered goods are shipped immediately. Along with that you will receive another notification.          

It goes without saying that you have the opportunity to order via email (numis@emporium-hamburg.com), especially if you should have additional questions or something still needs clarification. We will then get back to you right away. In this case, you will receive an email with the confirmation of your order. This email includes the invoice as well as our bank details. Once the transfer amount has been credited to our account, your ordered goods are shipped immediately.   

Moreover, you may place your order by telephone via +49/(0)40/25799-136 as well, of course. In this case, you will receive an email with the confirmation of your order including invoice and bank details. If you wish, you will receive the whole by mail as well. Once the transfer amount has been credited to our account, your ordered goods are shipped immediately. In this instance, however, the whole process, beginning with the handling of your order until delivery, will take a little longer.

Furthermore, you have the opportunity to place your order by fax via +49/(0)40/25799-100. You will receive a confirmation of your order by phone or fax plus the invoice and our bank details. Once the transfer amount has been credited to our account, your ordered goods are shipped immediately.  

You are also welcome to pick up your ordered goods in person and pay cash or with electronic cash (ec card). By doing so, shipping costs would not apply, of course. However, it is mandatory that you arrange an appointment with us beforehand, by phone or in written form.          

In Germany the amount of money regarding anonymous cash transactions – the so-called “over-the-counter business” – must not exceed € 15,000.00 according to the prevention of money laundering act. Cash transaction with an amount higher than € 15,000.00, require an identification of the buyer according to the prevention of money laundering act from August 13, 2008. Identification through a valid ID card or a passport is legally required.     

 

2. How can I sell goods to Emporium Hamburg? 

We guarantee discreteness and anonymity with regard to your selling of goods to us. We kindly ask you to notify your selling intention in advance via +49/(0)40/25799-400 or via email to info@hameko.de – or use our contact form as the quickest way to inform us. We will let you know our purchase prices as soon as possible. These purchase prices are subject to the authentication and to the merchantability (quality expectations of Emporium Hamburg Münzhandelsgesellschaft mbH in the interest of our customers). After having inspected and examined authenticity and quality standards, we transfer the amount of money (the purchase price which was agreed upon) to your bank account. Based on the efforts involved this may take a few days. Please make sure to give us your bank details when having finalized your disposal to us. If it should be the case that the goods you intend to sell to us are of no further use, we will inform you in due time.     

 

3. Shipping information

In general, delivery is carried out through a parcel service or a logistics company. In terms of parcel services we exclusively cooperate with the German market leader DHL and DHL express. These companies are part of the Deutsche Post DHL group.   

With regard to foreign shipments, your coins are shipped with FedEx. When shipping with DHL or FedEx we provide a so-called tracking or consignment identification number, which allows a continuous tracking and tracing. On the basis of this number, you can have a look at DHL’s and FedEx’ internet pages any time and check where your package with your ordered goods is located at the moment.

Your goods require a high-quality packaging. Our dispatch department works with premium cartons according to DIN and carefully fills empty space with air cushion and foam material, respectively.   

Provided that you choose the delivery method “self-collector”, shipping costs do not apply. Please note that we only accept cash or electronic cash (ec card) as methods of payment when you pick up your order in person.

 

4. Security aspects

Security is our top priority. Consequently, every purchase/order in our online shop is processed via a so-called “SSL-connection”. “SSL” is an abbreviation for “Secure Socket Layer” and designates an internationally standardized encryption protocol for data transfers on the internet. It guarantees that communication during the ordering procedure does only exist between you and www.emporium-numismatics.com and no unauthorized third party is able to access your data.
