The auction 105 "Banknotes & Emergency Money" once again proved that paper money is an integral part of the numismatic world. Especially in the foreign section, bids were abundant, but the category Germany from 1871 also attracted numerous bidders. The highest bids were gathered among the notes of the German foreign banks, such as the featured piece 10 Tael 01.03.1907 Peking (Lot 4351), which achieved a proud hammer price of € 9200.
Lots of Lots: Under this motto, numerous collectible lots were presented in this auction. In advance, many bidders took the opportunity to inspect the lots at the Störtebeker-Haus Hamburg. From lots of 2 to as many as 8000 pieces, there were true bidding battles, as seen with a large collection of 148 notes from Poland (Lot 4137, estimated price: € 600 / hammer price: € 1900).
