Historical:
Marcus Antonius Felix was a Roman knight and procurator of Judea in the years 52 to 60 AD.
In 41, Emperor Claudius appointed Herod Agrippa I as king. His territory included the regions of Judea (on this side of the Jordan), Samaria, Perea, Galilee and Judea beyond the Jordan. Agrippa I died in 44 and his kingdom was returned to Roman control. Between 48 and 54, the province was partially returned to Agrippa's son Marcus Julius Agrippa. His empire included eastern Galilee, Judea beyond the Jordan and parts of Perea. The Great Jewish War against the Romans lasted from 66 to 70 AD and ended with the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple. Gamla on the Golan Heights fell as early as 67 AD.
Roman provinces under Trajan (117 AD)
The province of Arabia Petraea was formed in 106 and also included parts of Judea. In 135, after the Bar Kochba revolt, the province of Judea was united with the province of Syria to form Syria Palaestina.
